Services navigation,
structure options

On the 31 July WIP you raised that the Services section had a duplicated hierarchy, and asked us to come back with layout options that put your highest-value products first. We reviewed the whole Services branch on staging. This sets out what we found, three options, and our recommendation.

Open the current Services page

What we found

Your instinct was right, and the cause is a single naming decision. "Advisory & Managed Services" is currently doing duty as both a category and a product name. It is the menu item, the page title, and one of the three sections on that same page. The label repeats at four consecutive levels, and then the page you actually arrive at is called something else:

01 · menu itemAdvisory & Managed Services
02 · page titleAdvisory & Managed Services
03 · section on that same pageAdvisory & Managed Services
04 · buttonExplore Advisory & Managed Services
05 · page you land onLegal Consultant

Two consequences follow from that, and they are the commercially important ones.

Your two highest-value products are invisible in the navigation. Neither the AI & Innovation Workshop nor the Tech-Enabled Growth Officer appears anywhere in the menu. The only way to reach them is to click into Advisory & Managed Services and scroll, behind a label that names neither.

Only one of the four Services menu items sells anything today.

Your 30 July review removes the Education page, so without a structural change this becomes three items of which two sell nothing. That is the reason we would rather settle the structure inside this round than after launch.

Option 1: Lead with the products Our recommendation

Clicking Services shows the three engagements a client can actually buy, highest value first. This is the direction we discussed on the call.

What changes

Trade-off

The four connected layers stop being visible in the menu itself. They still read clearly on the Services page, which is where your new introduction copy explains the model anyway.

Option 2: Products and sample engagements side by side

The same principle, presented in two columns, so the playbooks stay visible without a second click.

What changes

Trade-off

This is a custom menu build rather than a configuration change, including its own mobile behaviour, so it carries more risk this close to launch. It can be added later on top of Option 1 without redoing any of that work, and we would suggest revisiting it once the range grows beyond three products.

Option 3: Minimum change Lowest effort

Keep the four-layer structure exactly as it is and only break the naming clash.

What changes

Trade-off

This is what the 30 July review already asks for. It tidies the labelling but does not address what you raised on the call: your highest-value products stay two clicks deep and absent from the menu, and two of the three remaining items still sell nothing. We have included it so the comparison is complete, not as a recommendation.

Our recommendation is Option 1. It is the direction you already favoured on the call, it fixes the naming clash as a by-product rather than as a separate decision, it clears two items that sell nothing out of the menu, and it carries the least risk before launch. Option 2 is the right destination once the range grows, and nothing in Option 1 has to be undone to get there.

Decisions we need from you

  1. Which option.
  2. Does Events move into Insights? It is currently the only item in the Services menu that is not a service.
  3. Does Community stay in the menu before it launches? Our suggestion is to promote it on the Services page now and add it to the menu when it goes live in late 2026.
  4. The Tech-Enabled Growth Officer web address still reads /services/fractional-growth-officer/. Updating it to match the new name is tidier, and we would put a redirect in place so nothing breaks. Happy either way, it just needs your call.
  5. The AI & Innovation Workshop currently sits both as a headline product and inside the list you are renaming to "Sample Engagements". We suggest it comes out of that list.

Three other things we picked up while reviewing this, worth fixing whichever option you choose.
